Once you have reduced your lifestyle emissions as much as possible, you can recalculate your new carbon footprint using our calculators and offset the CO2 emissions which cannot be avoided through the Carbon Balanced restoration ecology projects.

If you haven’t got time to calculate your carbon footprint but wish to offset, visit our fixed offsets page where you can donate to offset the average CO2 emissions generated by an individual, couple, family or event. Every supporter who donates over £9.99 has the option of receiving a personalised Carbon Balanced certificate stating the CO2 emissions they have offset.

Carbon Balanced donations are allocated to the priority restoration ecology project at the time the money is received. This may be anywhere in the world and the actual transfer to the field usually occurs within three months. WLT prefers not to stipulate where money will be used in advance as it needs flexibility to handle opportunities, urgencies and new initiatives. Once allocated, however, WLT can state exactly where and how each offset payment has been used.
